Vermont filmmaker Eugene Jarecki talks with Vermont Edition about making the film,
The House I Live In. The documentary that is largely an indictment of the
legal, political and social framework of the war on drugs.
Vermont Marble Museum in Proctor
closed in 2012, after the private owners decided they wanted to sell the museum
and its collections. The Preservation Trust
of Vermont has stepped in to try to buy the museum and its artifacts.
Northrop devoted his life to support a variety of Vermont institutions.
He was best known for his efforts to protect the Long Trail. Northrup
hiked the trail end to end many times over the years, most notably in 2001 at
the age of 80. Northrup
died this weekend at his home in Underhill.
He was 92.
