Thousands of Vermonters enjoy riding All Terrain Vehicles – or ATV’s – but state land has always been off limits to them. Now the Agency of Natural Resources has proposed giving them limited access to public lands. ATV owners are hailing the idea, but environmental groups are worried it will open the door to more widespread use of the vehicles on state land – and they’re concerned about the damage that might cause.

VPR’s Jane Lindholm talks with Danny Hale, Director of the Vermont ATV Sportsman’s Association, Anthony Iarrapino with the Conservation Law Foundation and Warren Coleman of the Agency of Natural Resources about the issue.
