(Host) The University of Vermont says 32 state scientists whose Waterbury offices were flooded by Tropical Storm Irene will work in laboratories in Burlington.
UVM says the scientists began moving in about two weeks ago. Everyone should be in the temporary space by the week of October 17th.
In some cases UVM scientists will share space and in others the state scientists will move into vacant labs.
Eight Agency of Agriculture scientists will work in one building.
Scientists from the Department of Environmental Conservation will move into two labs in the new James M. Jeffords Hall.
It’s expected the state scientists will work in Burlington for between six and nine months.
The state office complex was heavily damaged by flooding from Irene.
