(Host) Last week, the remains of four military veterans were interred in a ceremony at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery, in Randolph.

The ashes of the four soldiers had been stored at a funeral home decades ago; no family members had ever come to claim the remains.

That’s where Bruce Turner comes in. Turner is the Vermont State Coordinator for a nonprofit group called the "Missing in America Project". The organization is dedicated to finding the abandoned remains of veterans in funeral homes across the country.

VPR’s Neal Charnoff spoke with Turner about the project.
