For a lot of us who grew up playing and loving baseball, the next best thing to actually taking the field as a pro would be working behind the scenes for the team you grew up cheering for.

Galen Carr of Burlington is living that dream job every day as a professional scout for the Boston Red Sox. Carr grew up in Walpole New Hampshire living, and–usually dying–with the dashed fortunes of his beloved Red Sox.

Carr is only in his early 30’s, and he started his baseball career early by taking the initiative with Vermont’s minor league single A team, then known as the Expos.
