Vermont National Guard soldiers are ending their lengthy deployment in Afghanistan, arriving home every few days in small groups from their demobilization site in Indiana.

As these 1,500 soldiers return to civilian life, we talked with Adjutant General Michael Dubie about how their deployment went, the rates of casualties, and the support soldiers need to adjust to life outside of a combat zone.
