The Calvin Coolidge State Historical Site has thousands of objects in its collection of Coolidge family memorabilia and ephemera. Plus farm equipment, sleighs, butter churns, tools, and household knick-knacks, all donated over the years by the Coolidge family and other Plymouth locals.

Most of those items had never been inventoried or cataloged-until now. That herculean task fell to historian and collections manager Amy Mincher and some college interns, who spent the summer going through everything from old wooden nails to the cloth that may have been on the living room table when Calvin Coolidge was sworn in as President in 1923.

On a recent rainy day, Amy Mincher showed VPR’s Jane Lindholm around the collection.
