Next week Champlain College in Burlington is hosting the first ever Gross National Happiness Conference in the United States. The organization hosting the event, Gross National Happiness USA, is based in Vermont. The aim of the conference is to change how we calculate "wealth" to include aspects besides economic development, including the preservation of the environment and the quality of life of the people.
