We often hear of fast-moving, big city types who fantasize about buying a little farmhouse somewhere in rural Vermont and leaving the hustle of the daily grind behind. Over the years, many people have made this fantasy a reality- with varying degrees of success.
Martha Molnar moved to Vermont in 2008 from New York City. She was formerly a New York Times reporter, and now works as a public relations, freelance writer and VPR commentator. She’s also writing a book about her experience of moving to Vermont. Her book is called TAPROOT: Making a Life on Prairie Hill. Martha spoke with Vermont Edition about her book.
