You may be experiencing more traffic cones, detours and single-lane highways than usual this summer. That’s thanks in part to funding from the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act. Vermont Transportation Secretary David Dill discusses how the federal stimulus money is being spent and he provides an update on projects like the Champlain Bridge, Bennington Bypass and Circumferential Highway.


Also in the program, the Long Trail School in Dorset has completed the rigorous certification process for the International Baccalaureate program, a two-year curriculum that rivals Advanced Placement studies in a small group of American high schools. We talk with Long Trail School’s Dean of Academics, Sean Sonderman, about why the school is offering this program of studies.
