Nancy Bercaw’s father kept a brain in a jar of formaldehyde
on his desk. The brain had belonged to his own father, whom he had watched
slowly fade away from Alzheimer’s disease. Nancy Bercaw says Alzheimer’s was
like another member of her family- it was always present in their lives.

We’ll talk to Nancy Bercaw about her new memoir, Brain in a Jar
