Opponents Aim To Halt Newark Wind Project

Opponents of what would be Vermont’s largest ridgeline wind development are trying to stop the project while it’s still in the planning stage. The early skirmishes involve wind testing equipment planned for the northern Caledonia County town of Newark.

Derby Wind Committee Says No To Proposal

At a select board meeting in Derby, approximately 50 people were present when the town’s ad hoc Wind Committee submitted their unanimous recommendation that the Select Board oppose the proposed Derby Wind Line project.
