Michael Redington is Director of the Hartford Area Career and Technical Center. Adult Day Services

More and more seniors are turning to adult day centers as a way to remain independent. The centers offer daily respite for caregivers, and provide meals, activities, and in Vermont, medical services. However, funding is a challenge. Medicaid covers a majority of expenses, but a recent MetLife study cites Vermont as having the highest adult day costs in the country. We look at what those numbers mean, and how adult day centers fit into the future of elderly care.VPR News
