Enjoy these holiday programs Christmas Eve on VPR & VPR Classical.

On VPR, tune in at 7:49am during Morning Edition for Willem Lange’s "Favor Johnson."

At 10am, it’s "A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols," a live broadcast from the chapel of King’s College in Cambridge, England, featuring the traditional readings and music as performed by the King’s College Choir.

Willem Lange returns at noon for a reading of "A Christmas Carol."

Thursday evening at 7, hear "Tinsel Tales: NPR Christmas Favorites." It’s a program dedicated to exploring the meaning of Christmas with humor and heart, featuring David Sedaris, Bailey White, and John Henry Faulk, among others. That’s followed by "A Counterpoint Christmas 2009"  at 8 o’clock and "A Holiday Celebration with Walter Parker" at 9.

On VPR Classical, enjoy "A Counterpoint Christmas 2009" followed by VocalEssence with "Welcome, Christmas!".
