The Savoy Theater in downtown Montpelier is kind of an old-fashioned single-screen theater. Despite loyal patrons, and even members who have paid membership dues to keep it afloat, its owners have decided to put it on the market. For $112,000 a new owner could lease the theater space and have all the equipment and, one hopes, the patrons.
Rick Winston says he and his wife Andrea Serota began thinking about the future of Savoy, and whose hands it should be in, a few years ago. They spoke with VPR’s Jane Lindholm about what made them put the business on the market.
