Print More

This time of year students are just beginning to settle into their new routines in the classroom. But for more than 2000 children in Vermont, they won’t set foot in a classroom this year, because they’re home-schooled. Retta Dunlap is the Executive Director of both the Vermont Home Education Network and Vermonters for a Better Education. They speak with VPR’s Jane Lindholm about the choice to educate their own children, why they’re doing so, and what challenges they face.
