The fiddle is central to many styles of music played in Vermont over the years: From traditional Irish music dating back generations to contemporary dance hall songs popular in the 1950s.
This week in our series "The Fiddling Tradition," VPR and the Vermont Folklife Center look at how the music has been passed down over generations.

Our series, The Fiddling Tradition, airs this week during Morning Edition on VPR.
