Commuters between Stowe and Jeffersonville beware: The state highway through Smugglers Notch is closed.
The Vermont Transportation Agency says bad weather forced the closure of Vermont Route 108 yesterday.
The road through the steep, narrow and windy Smugglers Notch remains closed in the winter. It’s recent reopening was hailed as a sign of spring – a bit too soon.
Transportation Agency officials say they’re not sure when the road will reopen.
