Former New Hampshire Governor Jeanne Shaheen is calling for increased investment in scientific research and development.
Shaheen, a Democrat who is running for U.S. Senate, is giving a speech this afternoon at Dartmouth College on the importance of enhancing the role of science in the 21st century. In announcing her candidacy last year, Shaheen said it’s time to put science over ideology, particularly when it comes to stem cell research and global warming.
