Interview: Jim Barnett on John McCain’s victory in N.H.

As we’ve heard this morning, Arizona Senator John McCain jokes that he’s too old to be called a "comeback kid."

But McCain’s big win in yesterday’s New Hampshire Republican primary is raising eyebrows, even among those who support and work for McCain — like Jim Barnett.

Vermonters are familiar with Jim Barnett — he’s the former head of Vermont’s Republican Party and has since moved on to become head of John McCain’s New Hampshire campaign.

Barnett says he always believed McCain would win the Granite State, but the victory last night did offer a measure of surprise.
