What would you do if you were given $10, and told to keep as much of it as you wanted, and send the rest to someone you didn’t know? What if you gave away half that money, and then had the chance to make extra money later by cheating… guaranteed no one would find out?

 

Gizem Saka, a behavioral economist at Middlebury College, discusses her new research on the connection between altruism and cheating, honesty and fairness, and whether true altruism even exists in humans.
