(Host) The Dartmouth College ski team is celebrating two big wins in the NCAA championships last weekend.

On Saturday, “The Big Green” won the men’s and women’s in championship titles. The win marks the first time in 31 years that Dartmouth has won the team championships in skiing.

Cami Thompson is the Director of Skiing and a coach for the women’s team. She says it’s no small feat to record “a sweep” in NCAA skiing:

(Thompson) “Skiing at NCAA Championships is men’s and women’s, Alpine and Nordic. And so we’ve got four different disciplines competing toward that overall title. And this year we just had good depth in all four disciplines. And that’s what made the difference.”

(Host) In the final team standings, Dartmouth was followed by the University of Denver in second place, the University of Colorado was third and the University of Vermont finished fifth.
