The New York Times paywall went up nearly a year ago, forcing online readers to subscribe and pay if they wanted to read more than 20 articles a month. Many Vermont newspapers have also started charging for content.

To get a sense of how well this strategy is working, VPR’s Jane Lindholm talks with Praveen Kopalle, a professor of marketing at the Tuck School of Business, who specializes in pricing strategies in all kinds of industries.
