Eighteen members of the Vermont National Guard are headed to Washington to help with next Tuesday’s inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama.
The Vermonters will join more than 8,000 National Guard members from 11 states and territories.
The guard members will help with public safety, logistics and public affairs support for the inaugural events.
