With the 2012 campaign season in full swing, we hear from Cassandra Gekas, the Democratic and Progressive candidate for lieutenant governor. Gekas was a health care advocate for the Vermont Public Interest Research Group when she decided to enter the race. She’s made health care her top priority and would like to see Vermont implement a single-payer system as soon as possible as the best way to provide universal access and control health care costs.

Gekas will discuss this and the rest of her platform in her bid to unseat incumbent Phil Scott.

Also on the program, The latest campaign finance reports came out this week. Pete Hirschfeld, Bureau Chief of the VermontPress Bureau, sorts through the data to provide an update.

And we listen back to the voices in the news this week.
