Legislation that designates power from Hydro-Quebec as "renewable energy" could have an impact on the contract Vermont utilities want to sign with Canadian energy producer. Backers argue that the bill will help lower electric rates for Vermont consumers. But opponents say the plan could undermine the smaller renewable energy market in New England because Hydro-Quebec has so much power to sell. Our guests are House Natural Resources Chairman Tony Klein and Jake Brown from the Vermont Natural Resources Council.
