There have been a number of high profile internet sex crimes cases in the news lately: a man in Braintree was sentenced to 7 1/2 years for possession and distribution of child pornography, a Rutland police officer is being investigated, and a Randolph Technical Career Center instructor was arrested on child pornography charges.  We learn how these crimes are detected and investigated, and whether cases of child pornography are increasing. Our guests are Andy Frisbie of the Vermont Internet Crimes Against Children taskforce, Janis Wolak of the Crimes Against Children Research Center at the University of New Hampshire, and Frederick Lane, a computer forensics expert who works on these kind of cases. Listen

Also in the program, Vermonter Jacob Sotak, a civil affairs officer in the Army Reserve.  Sotak spent a year helping villagers in southern Afghanistan build schools, wells and medical facilities – and he plans to return. Listen

And we hear from students at the Green Mountain Valley School who balance academics with training for high-level competition in Nordic and Alpine skiiing. Listen
