Opening Day to some might
signify the first pitch of the baseball season. But for many Vermonters, it
means the second Saturday in April has arrived and it’s time to throw on the
hip waders, grab the rod and reel and head to the nearest river or stream for
Trout Season.
Fish and Wildlife
Commissioner Patrick Berry and Lawrence Pyne, host of Vermont Public
Television’s Outdoor Journal, prepare us for the fishing season ahead. They let
us know about the conditions, the health of our trout population and where to
find the fish this season.
