New UVM President Spends His First Day On The Job

Monday was the first official day on the job for the new president of the University of Vermont, who held a news conference at the Waterman Building to outline his vision for the university. Thomas Sullivan succeeds Daniel Fogel, who resigned as president of UVM last summer after a nine-year tenure.

A former provost and law school dean at the University of Minnesota has been appointed the 26th president of the University of Vermont. UVM’s Board of Trustees says it chose Thomas Sullivan because his background and experience are compatible with Vermont’s flagship institution.
