Final Jazz Show

Tonight is my final Jazz Show on VPR. I’m honored to have shared jazz with the VPR community for the last 11 years and I’m glad to hear VPR will continue to air this great American art form. Many thanks to the generous musicians who shared their talents in VPR’s Performance Space and through their CDs.

Elmo Hope & Hope You Support VPR

The birthday of pianist & composer Elmo Hope allows us to celebrate this fairly obscure jazz great. Hopefully you will celebrate VPR by making a financial contribution by call 800-639-6391 or by going to VPR.net. You decide the amount to give but please make call now. And thanks.

Hot Temps & Cool Jazz

It’s VPR’s Summer Membership Drive and we’ve got Hot Temps & Cool Jazz to inspire your financial support of your Public Radio station. Please call 1-800-639-6391 or go to VPR.net to show your support. We hear a number of classic Antonio Carlos Jobim songs and celebrate Eric Dolphy’s birthday with his distinctive bass clarinet.

Summer Membership Drive Jazz

It’s the first day of VPR’s Summer Membership Drive and we look to you to support Jazz and all the programming you love by making the call to 1-800-639-6391 or by going to VPR.net. Pledge what you can, you decide the amount, but please make your pledge now. And thanks.
