Bill Lee pitched for the Boston Red Sox and Montreal Expos from 1969 through 1982, and racked up 119 career wins, several World Series and All-Star Game appearances and a reputation as the "Spaceman."

He stopped by the VPR studios to tutor us on the curve ball but we wound up learning much, much more, including how to set up your pitches and some of the finer points of the knuckler, fastball, slider and Bill’s infamous Eephus pitch. Bill also gave some insight into some major league players, managers and the mind of the hitter.

Bill now calls Craftsbury Common home where he makes baseball bats, Adirondack chairs and finds time to pitch for the Cuban National Team and school younger players on the mechanics of pitching.
