A charitable foundation will provide the money needed to finish work on a beloved Brattleboro ski jump that’s undergoing a $500,000 renovation.

The Manton Foundation, which already gave $130,000 for the work on the Harris Hill Ski Jump, is giving $188,000 more now. Construction is expected to be finished by Thanksgiving.

Pat Howell, co-director of the fundraising effort, says that when it’s done, Harris Hill will be the newest, most modern 90-meter ski jump in America. The facility, which dates to 1922, will host the 85th annual Fred Harris Memorial Ski Jump on Feb. 14 and 15.
