Woodstock park featured on quarter

Vermont’s only national park – the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park in Woodstock – will be featured on a U.S. quarter.

The Rutland Herald reports that the U.S. Mint is unrolling its America the Beautiful Quarters Program. A national park or other national site from each of the 50 states, District of Columbia and the U.S. territories of Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands and the Northern Mariana Islands will be featured on the coins.

The national quarters will be released in order of when the sites and parks were created.

Since the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historic Park was only established in 1992, Vermont’s coin won’t come out until 2020.
