A Vermont driver is facing a battery of charges after police say she ran over a dog, fled the scene and then attacked two troopers who were arresting her.

Thirty-three-year-old Julea Larsen, of Woodford, was charged with assault on a police officer, unlawful mischief, driving while criminally suspended, cruelty to animals and possession of amphetamines.

State Police say they were called to Pownal on Wednesday night by a family whose dog had been hit by a car.

Troopers found their way to Larsen’s home in Woodford, where she allegedly kicked out the window of a cruiser after being handcuffed and place inside. The window shattered, injuring Troopers Wayne Godfrey and Justin Walker. The troopers say she kicked both of them, too.

She was cited into Bennington Superior Court on Monday.
