Winter weather is expected throughout the day today with heavy snowfall this afternoon.
Roads already are slippery around the state this morning.
Snow and sleet will change to all snow by this afternoon. Accumulations are expected to range from four to twelve inches with the greatest snowfall in the higher elevations.
A winter weather advisory remains in effect until early tomorrow morning.
