Windsor residents vote on select board recall

The town clerk’s office in Windsor says voting is steady today as residents decide a recall measure.

The measure calls for the recall of four of five Windsor select board members.

If any of the members are recalled, they will lose their positions as soon as the vote is certified.

Voting ends at seven o-clock tonight.

The recall vote was sparked by a dispute over the firing of Town Administrator John Schempf. Town residents petitioned to recall the four selectboard members who voted to fire Schempf.

Schempf had been town administrator for six years.
