The Windsor select board is offering the job of town administrator to an official from Manhattan, Kansas. The move comes eight months after the board fired its previous administrator.
The board voted three to two on Tuesday to hire Don Howard, who until last month was economic development director for Clay County, Kansas. Howard says he’s excited about moving to Vermont.
Fired town administrator John Schempf was elected to the select board last month. He voted in favor of hiring Howard.
The town received 72 applications for the town administrator job.
