Wind Brings Scattered Power Outages

High winds this morning are causing scattered power outages in Vermont.

Vermont utilities are reporting just over 2,800 customers without power this morning. Vermont Electric Cooperative says many of the power outages are caused by down trees, but crew are out and they expect power to be restored for most by mid-morning.

CVPS is reporting outages around the state, but with numerous outages in Townshend and Jamaica. And Green Mountain Power is reporting around 150 customers without power.
