Williston has a new Chief of Police. Todd Shepard was sworn in yesterday in a ceremony at the Williston Police Department.
The Burlington Free Press reports Shepard said his first order of business will be to educate himself about the department and the community, in order to make a smooth transition.
Shepard takes over from Interim Chief Doug Hoyt, who has held the post since January.
