State Senator Peter Welch is riding the train today to kick off his Get America Back on Track campaign for the U.S. House.
Welch, a Democrat, says his goal in Congress will be to reverse the course set by the Bush administration that has taken America from times of record budget surpluses to record budget deficits.
Welch kicked off his campaign this morning in Burlington, and scheduled train stops in Middlebury and Rutland.
In November, he is expected to face former Vermont National Guard commander Martha Rainville, the likely Republican nominee.
