A Web site encouraging people to sell their houses without hiring a realtor will be allowed to continue listing properties in New Hampshire.

The parent company of ZeroBrokerFees.com, Skynet Corporation, sued the state, claiming its First Amendment rights were violated by state law that required any company that collected fees and advertised property to seek a broker license. An exception is made for newspapers and other media outlets.

ZeroBrokerFees.com lists properties in New Hampshire and across the country for a fee to the homeowner. Photos and specifications are also listed, and, in some cases, browsers can take a virtual tour online. The site also provides a 10-step guide to buying a house, including links to mortgage and insurance services, loan calculators and regional crime statistics.

Magistrate Judge James Muirhead ruled in favor of the site Monday.
