The Vermont Fuel Dealers Association is hailing word from a federal agency that heating oil prices are expected to be down this winter from last year.
The Energy Information Administration of the U.S. Department of Energy issued a fuel price forecast on Tuesday.
Matt Cota of the Fuel Dealers says heating oil prices in Vermont are down about 42 percent over last year.
Among the factors are supply – heating oil supply in the Northeast is up about 17 percent from a year ago.
