Good news for the Vermont State budget.

State General Fund revenues last month came in a bit ahead of what they were forecast to be.

But the transportation fund and education funds fell below their targets for November.

Administration Secretary Michael Smith says November general fund revenues were $72.36 million, about 2.5 percent higher than projections.

So far in the current fiscal year, which began in July, state general fund revenues are running about 2 percent ahead of projections.

The transportation fund was just below its target, but remains slightly above its target for the year to date. The education fund is about $3 million short of expectations.
