Vermont lawmakers are preparing to debate three big money bills all in one day.

The House on Thursday is slated to take up the state budget for fiscal 2011, which begins July 1. They’re also to debate a miscellaneous tax bill and a transportation spending bill.

The 2011 budget bill contains some reductions in spending on human services programs, but the cuts aren’t as deep as those sought by Gov. Jim Douglas.

The budget comes as the state tries to close a projected $150 million budget gap.
