Vermont’s state general fund revenues are slightly above their targets for the first two months of the fiscal year, but the state’s top budget officer says it’s not time to celebrate.

And while Secretary of Administration Neale Lunderville says general fund revenues are up, money coming into the state’s transportation and education funds are slightly below target.

Lunderville says overall, the revenues don’t show the widely reported end to the current recession having much effect in Vermont as yet.

He says the state still faces tight budget times, with budget projections more than $200 million out of balance during the next two years.
