The legal landscape for detainees at Guantanamo Bay has shifted since the last month’s Supreme Court ruling. On Tuesday, a hearing might clarify the next steps for court proceedings. Robert Rachlin is an attorney with Downs Rachlin Martin, in Burlington. Robert Gensburg, is an attorney with Gensburg, Atwell and Broderick in Saint Johnsbury. David Sleigh is with Sleigh and Williams in St. Johnsbury. They’re doing pro bono work for detainees. They spoke with VPR’s Jane Lindholm about the legal implications for their clients.
