Congressional leaders say they’ll have a health care reform bill on the floor of the U.S. House by June. As more interest groups, business coalitions and policy makers try to find common ground, the question emerges of how comprehensive this effort at reform will be.
John Rother is a national authority on health care policy with the AARP, about realistic expectations for reform this year. He’s in Montpelier this week to meet with state policy leaders about Vermont’s experience with health care reform, and how lessons and strategies from Vermont can be applied on the national level. He spoke with VPR’s Jane Lindholm about reform.
