VT Edition Interview: Scott Darling on White Nose Syndrome and Vermont’s bat population

Last winter things looked pretty dismal in a couple of caves in Vermont where bats spend the winter. There looked like there might be some improvements when a cold-loving fungus was identified in sick bats. But things aren’t getting any better.

Scott Darling is a wildlife biologist with the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department. He spoke with VPR’s Jane Lindholm about the situation.
