VT Edition Interview: Robert Clarke on the challenges of State Colleges

Enrollment in our State Colleges is up. But so is the cost of higher education in the system. By many accounts it’s a state system that’s doing well. But it’s also one of the most expensive in the country, and one of the least well-funded by state government. Robert Clarke is the Chancellor of the Vermont State Colleges. He recently announced he’ll be retiring at the end of the 2009 school year. He spoke with VPR’s Jane Lindholm about the challenges State Colleges face.
