VT Edition Interview: John Gregg on the Armory Square Apartment upgrade

The Armory Square Apartments, Section 8 housing in Windsor, is going to be spruced up with mixed-income tenancy.  Also known as "The Block," it was once the largest apartment complex in northern New England, but has long been a major public safety problem in Windsor. A fire recently was allegedly set by a suicidal tenant and left about 17 people homeless.  The Douglas administration supports the upgrade, even though it will actually lead to a slight reduction in units.  VPR’s Jane Lindholm spoke with Valley News reporter John Gregg about the project.
